Ecosystem Indexing & Ledger Querying Lab
A practical hands-on workshop focused on building high-performance local database indexers for real-time Dime ledger transactions and program instructions.

The Ecosystem Indexing & Ledger Querying Lab teaches engineers and data scientists how to stream, decode, and store continuous transaction streams from the Dime ledger into relational and document databases on local desktop infrastructure.
Workshop Focus Areas
1. Geyser Plugins & WebSocket Stream Decoders
Learn how native RPC event plugins capture raw ledger transactions before they are compressed into archival cold storage. We review buffer configurations and memory limits to prevent packet dropping during peak network throughput.
2. Instruction Parsing & Account State Extraction
Master the decoding of binary program instruction data into structured JSON objects. We inspect base58 and base64 account state representations and build automated schema mappers for custom on-chain data schemas.
3. Local PostgreSQL / DuckDB Pipeline Integration
Implement high-speed batch insert pipelines connecting your local RPC node to embedded analytical databases like DuckDB and PostgreSQL. Analyze historical transaction volume, compute unit consumption, and account modification rates.
Included Lab Deliverables
- Complete open-source boilerplate repository for a Node.js / Rust ledger transaction indexer.
- Optimized database schema DDL files for ledger block and transaction storage.
- Custom benchmarking scripts to test local database ingestion throughput.
